Wow what a crazy, busy, awesome summer and wedding season!! I got to work with some of the best couples and photograph some of the most beautiful weddings!  I also has the interesting challenge of  shooting every wedding pregnant! I'm happy to announce that our newest little bundle has arrived!  Della Joy entered the world 1.1.14 and was the first baby born in central Maine in the new year!

I know things at Haven Photography may seem to be very quite lately...but the truth is with the holidays, moving, and a new baby....it's been anything but quite!  But now is the time to look ahead to what this coming year will hold...and reflect on the past year, and take note of what worked and what didn't.

With that being said... There will be some big changes for this year.  The biggest one being, with three children now...I really need to slow down with the work I'm doing.  I know I said that last year also...and, all though I did slow down some...I still need to do a little more cutting back.

I have had such an honor to do so much work and experience so much in the photography world...and have done so many different things.  I now feel I know what makes my heart soar when it come to photography. I know what makes me excited to pick up my camera, the thing that I always makes me excited to work...and what challenges me and always pushes me to improve....and that is Weddings, followed closely by Birth, and Senior photography!

I love, love, love everything about weddings, and have made the decision to specialize in wedding photography. I've been all over the place with what I'm shooting and photographing and feel like I've been overwhelmed, not with the actual shooting....but all the post processing, meetings, emails, I feel like I definitely didn't do the best with keeping up on all of that. And I really want my clients to feel pampered and well taken care of when they hire Haven Photography.  I am so appreciative of every couple who books me to capture their special day, and want my clients to feel that appreciation. I feel that the best way to do that is to make weddings my focus. I will also be taking on a limited amount of weddings so I am better able to keep up with the post processing.  It's been a hard decision to make...but I am very excited about it and feel so at peace about it. And I think and hope my clients will enjoy the change.

But because I do love Birth and Senior photography so much...I will plan on booking a VERY limited amount of those session. So book early!

For Seniors, I plan on upping my packages and really making senior photos an awesome amount of fun!  My packages will now include professional hair and makeup, and I plan on taking more time to get to know the senior and be able to tailor the session to their taste and personality!  It's going to be really really fun!!

For past clients...I want to make sure that you know that I do truly appreciate all the awesome opportunities I had to work with you. And if I'm able, I plan on offering a few mini session days and will offer the spaces to past clients first. And please if you are looking for references for other photographers...please don't hesitate to ask!

And just because you can't post on a photography blog without a photo....here is one of my sweeties!!
